Life Is Like A Box of Chocolates

As you all know, my sis and b.i.l (brother-in-law) returned from their Paris getaway and brought me back this amazing chocolate by Fauchon! It comes packaged in the cutest hot pink tin and the chocolate is DE-LI-CIOUS!It melts in your mouth and is the perfect ending to a very long, exhausting day.It was so hard resisting the temptation to consume the entire tin. Lucky me, they sell it here in New York! Granted, it won't have the same feel to it but nonetheless I'm so excited for when I need my refill.

Upgrade Me... Audemars Piguet Me

A black stainless steel, chronograph, Audemars Piguet was featured in this month's (April) Elle [pg. 123]. Naturally I became obsessed and I'm driving myself crazy because 1) I can't find an image anywhere, 2)repeat item one, 3) I can't get the watch out of my head. [item one should actually be that "the price is upon request"and it will be a very long time until it lays on my wrist, so I'm.....just gonna add it to "the list"].

"THE" watch is very similar to this one. Picture it in black with a white face. I know! I know. Just doesn't get any hotter:

I just came across these Philip Crangi cuffs while browsing through "The Row" collection, (thanks to the Barneys' daily newsletters). Its the perfect combination of delicate + rock 'n' roll, a piece that I would add to my everyday outfits.

The price is a way out of my league but that won't stop me from adding it to my wish list.

Coachella is right around the corner. 25 days to be exact and I am so excited because I'll be attending this year!! [My awesome sister and "hb" short for hyung boo, brother-in-law in korean, are flying me out to LA for my sis' happy bday (belated) and planned it the wknd of Coachella]. The line up is quite stellar and it's going to hard deciding which day to attend. [I'm thinking we'll be there for Friday-Saturday].
In any case, I'm so excited to finally be attending and to be out in California!

Get Ripped...

I finally had some time to spare to spend on my little DIY project: slashed/ripped jeans, a spring must have!

I'll admit, mine do not look nearly as cool as these, but it'll work for now. (I'm thinking it's the legs/body shape that should be taken into consideration).

Lucky for me, I have short(er) legs and I can wear my jeans long or roll them up a little bit to hit right above the ankle. It's like having two ripped jeans for the price of one! Quite amazing. I'm thinking I'll wear them long for now.

This photo was my inspiration/will be the my look of the day(s).
[I've decided not to post what mine look like] Maybe in a later post...

" I Did It For Love" (of kpop)

BoA a Korean pop star, most famous for her song, " Eat You Up" is taking over the states with her new single, " I Did it for Love," feat. Sean Garrett. Her self titled album, "BoA" was released in the US, Korea and Japan on March 17, 2009 and is currently available on itunes.

Other top producers working behind "BoA" include Brian Kennedy (Rihanna's Disturbia) and Bloodshy & Avant(Britney Spears & Madonna).

I don't know what makes me such a sports fanatic. But I'm a sucker for baseball games,soccer, football,and college basketball. It could be because I was raised in Chicago, attending CUBS games in the summer, growing up watching Jordan & Co or it could also be all the mornings I would get up at 5:30 to tailgate. Whatever the reason, I am big into sporting events and being a fellow Spartan, I'm going to have to take this opportunity to say GO GREEN! GO White! You're in Paris. It's fashion week. Your husband points out Karl Lagerfeld. You are in shock. You think your husband is referring to a book cover (You're walking past a bookstore). So your mind races... think. think. What book? Your husband meanwhile is not wasting any of his time (another thought: when did he become such a fashion divo?) and is taking out his camera phone. YOU ARE NOW THIS [] CLOSE TO HIM....... It now hits you... the Kaiser is this [] close.to.you....

I'm not sure if you just read and processed what I just wrote. YOU ARE [] THIS CLOSE TO Karl Lagerfeld! What do you do? What do you say?!!!!

(I would personally freeze, heart would stop beating and probably faint right in front of him..... hmmm I wonder, Would he stay until I came back to life)?

Well.... my sister had the pleasure of (yes) being [] close to Mr. Lagerfeld, and with the best french accent said, "Pardon, je voudrais une photo, sil vous plait.".... The moment of anticipation...
He looked at her, tapped his pockets, mumbled something under his breath and then... walked away! At first she couldn't believe he would do that, then realized "Hmm... maybe he didnt hear me? question mark.

We'll never know what was said/heard on either end, but "Uh Hello?!" does it really matter? At the end of the day, YOU.WERE.[].CLOSE.SPOKE TO.KARL.LAGERFELD!!!!!!!!

Let's just say the moment is currently and forever will be on replay. I mean how can it not be?

If you can't get a picture with him... You better at least just get a picture of him.

Just Clowning Around W/McQueen

Women with sex-doll lips + scrap heap of debris from the stages of past shows + shattered glass runway =Alexander McQueen. A fashion genius.

Though the reviews were mixed, I must say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I knew he was one of my fav's when he closed his Fall 2006 show w/a floating hologram of Kate Moss.
